Well 30 years ago today the world or sci-fi, special effects animation, and the advent of sound as part of theater changed dramatically when the movie STAR WARS was released.

I remember being driven to the "River Oaks" theater in Calumet City, IL with a friend (by his mom) to see the movie.

Been a sci-fi geek ever since.:spacecraft:
