Yesterday was the annual firefighters stairclimb at the Columbia Tower to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. So far our dept has raised over $13,000 with the total for the climb to reach over $350,000. Its an awesome thing to see, and I am glad it is over. New clip of the event can be seen here, at least for the time being.

That is a good climb in full turnouts and breathing on a BA:thumb:

And, the goal was rather realistic. It's not unheard of to have to climb like that in a fire scenario, although you'd probably not be breathing off the BA till you got close to the floor on fire.

That's a cool thing you guys did, and a really good cause. I've been to two funerals in the last two years, both great firefighters in our district, both to cancer. Capt. Keck was only 36... Vol FF Land was 46. Capt Keck started as soon as he was old enough, in high school, to be in the Explorer program. Vol Land had 26 years in the service.

Do you have a web link for donations?
