A little fast for my taste but interesting none the less :

the vid had things spead up a bit but that thing was trucking as the snow coming off the tracks shows makes me wonder what speed hi is able to acheave and what he did to get there

Could of been sped up a bit true, but a couple things come to mind :
someone on the way up, looks like a long way down if you step out,
what if a track jumps out and what if some type of mechanical failure ?
No way I will be doing that kind of speed when I finally get my own rig.
Only speed I would consider is flat out on a well frozen lake or open field,
and for a brief time at that. Look at RedCliff / Broken Grousers vids,
nice comfy cruising speed :

a lot of the camra's that capture video do speed things up a bit my st vids show that makes 15mph look like 25. I'm guessing by the amount of snow being thrown that one is cooking along around 25 mph which is still quite respectable.

The old iron track one I ran back in the late 60's would not go that fast down the main slope. I don't need to go fast anymore. It just increases the pain when you screw up.
