You forgot a comma. My 1995 Ski Doo Elan and me, just before our trip across the Mackinac Bridge in December 2022. (We do it every year). I bought the Elan "sight-unseen" as a parts machine since every single part will interchange with my 1960's machines..... but after I saw it for the first time, I couldn't bear to take it apart. It's beautiful. (I only collect the Ski Doos from 1959 to 1970).
I won the award for best costume.

Ski Doo made the first Elan in 1971 and the last model year was 1996. They stopped making the Alpine in 1996, as well..... but they started making the Alpine in 1965. They made a twin-track model in 1963 and 1964... but they didn't give their machines NAMES until 1965. In '63 the Alpine was called the "RD-8", and in '64 it was the "RD-64". The Alpine was the longest production run for a snowmobile, ever. (I have a 1963 and a 1968).I had no idea that Bombardier made the elan into the 90's
