needs motor swap on a J5

I've bought myself a new toy - a 1971 Bombardier J5 - 'has had all the bearings replaced, the differential has been checked and the specified oil added - other recent work as well - the machine has front and rear hydraulics and a heavy duty push blade, a winch, and a hydraulically operated lift at the rear - the lift was designed to carry a forklift, but it will be ideal for the things I want to do, like pulling a groomer or box plow - it was first owned by BC Forestry, then the 2nd owner pushed some loose fill with it - the third owner used it for logging as an upgrade from horse logging - I'm the 4th owner - the machine seems to be in from fair to good condition generally - my problem is that the motor needs to be replaced and I'm having a problem finding someone in this area that knows this type of machine, and/or is willing to take the project on - I live in the West Kootenays of BC - the southwest corner of BC - can anyone in the forum point me to someone that is willing to do a motor swap for me?
 
Brad at minnasota out doors he is in the us but I believe just a hop across the border. I couldn't imagine a re power being a big deal find a complete take out engine auto tranny combo and graft it in. your flat head was about 80 hp so it should be easy to find a modern motor in that size range to replace it with. the only problem would be to find a pusher fan but I think a good electric fan set up or a hydraulic fan like a bobcat uses.
 
I don't think a motor swap for this would be all that difficult either - it's already had a swap and someone put in a very unusual Ford 250 6 industrial - it has cracked heads now and apparently the motor was pretty well shot before the heads cracked - I'd like to put in a Ford 300 6 because it will bolt right up to the transmission - there is some wiring to replace as well - sounds simple enough to me - the only place I've found that might be willing to do it here is a heavy duty truck repair outfit that charges in excess of $150 per hour ! and they have no experience with this type of equipment - I'd take it to Brad at the blink of an eye if he weren't 3000 miles from me - lol - I'm 400 miles from the west coast of Canada, and about a 2 1/2 drive north of Spokane Wa
 
ok I wasn't certain where in Canada you were you are on my side you might try Bill Guthery at snow trans he is over in Idaho. I have talked with him on the phone he seems to be a real friendly fellow ands a straight shooter.
