Dave Nay suggested we worry about bigger things than the dixie twits, so how about the ever expanding threat of islamic fascism. This is surely the greatest threat we face today.Looks loke France and Europe may be headed for civil war with our peaceful muslim friends:

Ongoing 'intifada' in France has injured 2,500 police in 2006

Special to World Tribune.com

Friday, October 27, 2006

This might have dropped below the radar, but Al Qaida and its allies are literally battling the Crusaders every day in Europe. And so far, Europe isn't doing so well.

"We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists," said Michel Thoomis, secretary general of the Action Police trade union. "This is not a question of urban violence any more. It is an intifada, with stones and firebombs."

The French Interior Ministry has acknowledged the Muslim uprising. The ministry said more than 2,500 police officers have been injured in 2006. This amounts to at least 14 officers each day.

The battles have been under-reported but alarming to French authorities. Muslim street commanders, who run lucrative drug networks, have organized youngsters in housing projects to ambush police and confront security forces. The response time allows hundreds of Muslims to storm police cars and patrols within minutes.

"You no longer see two or three youths confronting police," Thoomis said. "You see whole tower blocks emptying into the streets to set their comrades free when they are arrested."

France's huge Muslim minority community has come under the influence of agents often influenced and financed by Al Qaida. These agents have recruited Muslim youngsters for urban warfare in which police and government representatives are injured daily.

Not surprisingly, Muslim neighborhoods are becoming autonomous zones, with police and government workers too scared to enter. The police union is demanding the Interior Ministry supply officers with armored cars.

European law enforcement sources say France could be a model for other countries. The most worried are Britain and the Netherlands.

I've been watching this since last year when it started.

Seems to me there are a couple issues that must be addressed by ANY nation that allows immigrations.
  • Nations should not allow for cultural or nationality ghettos to form where the police and others are afraid to enter.
  • Nations must force assimilation if the new immigrants with programs that integrate the immigrants into the nation. No matter what, new residents must assimilate or be assimilated into the culture.
I'm not sure than political correctness can deal with those things. And even in our nation we have "Chinatowns" and other "sub-cities" within some of our major cities. However the residents generally have embraced America. Even in black ghettos or hispanic ghettos the residents generally embrace America. So while we have plenty of problems here, France has pockets where Albanian Muslims do not identify themselves as French. And that is a very real problem that the French must address. Any other nation that has that type of immigrant attitude is going to have major problems.

Oh, and then this happened today . . .

2 public buses torched in Paris suburb

By ELAINE GANLEY, Associated Press Writer 44 minutes ago

Police deployed 4,000 reinforcements as marauding youths torched at least two public buses Friday, the anniversary of the deaths of two teenagers that ignited weeks of riots in largely immigrant housing projects across France.

After the buses were burned, Paris' transport authority curtailed bus service in the Seine-Saint-Denis region north of the capital, which is home to thousands of immigrants and their French-born children.

Thierre Ange, a 19-year-old witness, said four men attacked the bus, "made everyone get off, then they hit a woman and dragged out the bus driver by his tie" and torched the bus with a gasoline bomb in a bottle. The blackened carcass of another bus that was burned earlier stood across town in Le Blanc Mesnil.

Flaming cars became a symbol of the rioting last year, which jolted France into recognizing a failure to give equal opportunities to many minorities — especially those of Arab and black African origin — and the country's 5 million-strong Muslim population.

The national police said 50 units of extra officers and riot police — or about 4,000 men — were deployed across the country to brace for a possible resurgence of violence. Some 7,000 police are at the ready on an average night in France, officials have said.

Dozens of police officers, wielding riot gear and backed by a helicopter, swept into a housing project in Montfermeil, a neighboring town to Clichy-sous-Bois.

One officer on the scene, who declined to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to the press, said the squads were tracking youths who had thrown stones, broken streetlamps and set fire to cars. The National Police had no immediate comment.

I wonder when the world will stop with the political correctness and admit what the problem really is : ISLAM.

Jihad is not an option for muslims according to the koran. Until everyone realizes this, the jihad will be spread across the world. The evidence shows that even those muslims who do not participate in jihad certainly appear to silently condone and encourage it.

Since jihad is not an option for any muslim, would it not then be logical for those who realize that murder in the name of any god is wrong to reject islam outright? Why do these muslims continue practicing the religion of murder? The koran does not allow for picking and choosing of islamic principals. You either accept it fully or risk your own death.

I guess we are likely going to have to suffer yet another catostrophic islamic terrorist attack before people begin to wake up here. And even then, there will still be those who fail to see the obvious.

And, the politicians allowing such in the name of being politically correct are holding the immigrants back more than anyone. By creating Mexifornia and having everything bilingual, the politicians are assuring that no Mexican immigrants thrive. To move to a country and never accept their ways of living and their language is a guaranteed recipe for failure. It has proven to keep the immigrants down and working only in the lowest forms of employment.

Finally I am reading that some Asian groups, Russian groups and German groups are filing suits against government agencies because said governments seem to cater to Spanish speaking immigrants but not to them. Therefore, the ACLU is also guilty in discrimination when they push for "bi-lingual" schools, signs, telephone messages etc. Why only English and Spanish?

These comments do not appear to directly be related to the French problem with Muslims, but it really does. They have allowed the Muslims to create their own nation within the French nation. They are getting what they deserve for doing so. And, if the U.S. doesn't stop this bi-lingual crap we'll get what we deserve. Before long, the more intelligent Mexican immigrants will realize that the U.S. government is keeping them down by allowing them to NOT adapt to the American way and achieve the American dream. How much do you want to bet that in our lifetime we will see a major civil action court suit against the U.S. government for not making the Mexican immigrants learn English and, therefore, be able to rise out of poverty and gain better employemnt? I say that's going to happen.

Last time that I checked, the US Government can't make you learn anything. No one is stopping these people from learning English, but themselves. If we were to make English the National language, it still wouldn't force them to learn the language, but it would eliminate the need to have bilingual schools and education. In some states, you can take your driving written/oral test in a multitude of languages. If you want a CDL license, you have to be able to read and write the English language...... something that you don't have to be able to do for a basic drivers license. Whats the difference???? Are the road signs any more difficult to read if you are driving a truck??????

PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is offering basic English classes to inmates who don't speak the language and might make it a requirement if prisoners stop volunteering for the courses.

He said the inability of some inmates to speak the language has caused problems for his jail officers and even prompted complaints from English-speaking prisoners.

The leader of an immigrant advocacy group said the sheriff wasn't so interested in teaching people English as using illegal immigrants to draw attention to himself at a time when border woes a political priority.

Arpaio, who said he isn't seeking re-election this year, said inmates are so eager to learn English that there's a waiting list for the two-week courses, which began Monday.

The sheriff said the aim is to teach the non-English speakers about America's three branches of government, the criminal justice system and communicating their health and safety needs to jail officers.

He also wants to teach them to sing "God Bless America," a song that the sheriff had ordered to be played each morning in his jails.

Actually, it is a requirement of U.S. naturalization to be able to read, write and speak in English. We just don't enforce it:
