For simplicity and ultimate reliability I would stay with the VW AIR cooled engine. You dont have all those extra parts involved in a water cooled engine to worry about. Thats if you stay with a STOCK 40 HP Vw engine. If you go 100 plus a VW aircooled simply becomes not nearly as reliable and is way out of the range it was ever intended to be! Hope this clears some issues up.

Mike,
I have that part for you .I assume you mean the defector scoop/shield that bolts to the underside of your dash .You can have it .You will need a piece of 2 inch heater hose which is avaliable at most auto parts houses.
