Gone But Not Forgotten
This is one of them things you have to be there to laugh but I tilled up a small spot for this family to have a garden next year. The little 2 year old girl who just thinks I am the greatest comes up to me and says "will you help me plant bananas in our garden" I told her Bananas grow on trees. "No they don't" she says. I re-affirm that bananas grow on trees. Again I hear "No they don't" And I am still sure she thinks bananas are grown in a garden as she thinks I am teasing her.

Dang come next spring I hope her parents set her straight cause I don't know how to get her to change her mind. But it was so cute,, Well like I said you had to be there.

Well you might as well tell her that Santa Clause doesnt exist and the tooth fairy is fake. Get it all out in the open. :thumb: :yum:
 
Murph, when I lived in South America several neighbors grew banana trees in their gardens. They didn't get real big, maybe 8-10 ft if they didn't prune them back. The kid probably saw a picture of a garden like that.

I doubt if one would survive there since they need a tropical climate.
 
Reminds me of the repartee between Fibber McGee and his little neighbor girl, I betcha.
