Jet Ski for Weekend Fun

Hey everyone
Just wanted to share my experience as a buyer. I recently picked up a used jet ski after a few weeks of searching, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The seller was straightforward, provided clear details, and the whole process went smoothly. I’ve already had it out on the water a few times and it’s been a blast. It’s always a little nerve-wracking making a bigger purchase like this, but in this case, everything lined up perfectly. Excited for many more weekends of riding ahead!

Any boating experience?
Most boat owners despise jet sky because of how users ignore rules of the road; they cut right in front of our bow, get way to close to us, and jumping wakes almost at the swim platform.
And they disregard no wake zones in general. You are responsible for your wake. Any damage to anybody's property is on you.
Don't forget insurance. You might not care about the ski value, but if you spill oil or gas, it could cost you $100,000 or more for clean up.

I hear you on that a lot of the bad reputation jet skis get comes from riders who don’t respect boating etiquette or local rules. I agree that safety and courtesy on the water should always come first no matter what you’re driving.
Not every jet ski owner rides recklessly though. Many of us are mindful of no wake zones, give plenty of space to boats, and understand that wake responsibility and insurance are serious matters. A well run PWC ride can coexist with boats just fine, but like you said, it really comes down to the rider respecting the rules

True. Many show respect. When they do, I slow way down to make a huge wake for them. Let em have fun if they deserve it.
