Is Someone You Love Someone You Hate?

Does someone you love have annoying habits/opinions/tendencies? For example do they:

• Drive without considering other drivers?
• Have political views diametrically opposed to yours?
• Smoke (or hate smokers if you smoke)?
• Have poor personal hygene?
• Have values that are completely different from your own to the point that you do not respect them?

The reason I am asking is that if you do care for someone that you would otherwise dislike for these reasons, is it possible that the asshole in the car tailgating you someone you care for? I just got home from a road trip to San Diego. That thought was the only thing keeping me from road rage several times during the trip.

My first thought was you spent your vacation with someone you love but after a couple weeks together non stop they were driving you bonkers.

BTW, I don't have anyone I love between San Diego and Seattle so I would have let road-rage prevail (although I'm the one doing the tailgating, not the one being tailgated...).
