Imp 1404 throttle cable......

Anyone have a modern part number or cross reference for a throttle cable on a 1404 Imp?
The Thiokol number is 1404068.

I used this one and it worked perfect , It has a stainless shield on it nice for hot engine surfaces .

Hey IMP owners this is a great resource for Ford V4 motor parts , I had my distributor rebuilt by Mark and also bought a new webber carburetor from him also , greatly improved my Imp . He specializes in the Saab Sonnets that have the ford V4 engine .

How much work was it to fit the carb? Model number? Thanks.

The carb was a bolt on replacement Webber ICH 32 i think ? I had to alter the choke cable and throttle cable pretty easy .

Thanks to a local boat company's bored parts guy, he determined it was a TCI shift cable. I guess all kinds of various equipment use shift cables for throttles. Got it from Summit Racing. Part # TCI 850500. Exactly the same! Works great. I never realized how long the old cable has been bad till I used the new one. I think as it got stiffer, the previous owner(s) just added another return spring.
