Gone But Not Forgotten
PHOENIX (AP) — The National Guard says 532 troops are now stationed at the Arizona-Mexico border under President Obama's plan to boost security along the border.
The first of the troops began being deployed on Aug. 30.
The National Guard said Friday that all 532 troops allocated to Arizona under Obama's plan are now stationed at the border.
The troops do not have the power to detain illegal immigrants or anyone else but are carrying guns for self-defense. They are acting as extra eyes and ears for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Obama ordered 1,200 National Guard troops along the entire U.S.-Mexico border in May.
 
Since they were originally promised to be stationed there BY august 1st I guess thats not bad . Problly just needed to get another couple of 100 thousand new voters in before they actually showed up .

I,m not sure why they would need to be armed though , from my understanding the biggest % wont even be near the border but acting as desk jockys watching surveilance videos & doing paper work , which I,m sure will be as worthless as everything else they have been doing to protect our borders for the last several decades . What a fucking joke :hammer:
 
They need to let them set up a perimeter inside the border with orders to fire warning shots and if they don't turn around drop them. Might be a good place to try out their audio cannons and make them hurt so bad they have to turn back.
 
after seeing the rules of engaugement for combat i can only imagine what they will be on the boarder. you can just about figure that if you discharge a round your carrear will be done.
