Freecycle

Just had myself a bit of luck on freecycle, 2 mowers and a 7 horse engine.
1 mower I stripped for the engine, its dead. Other mower I reincarneted today, will sell it next weekend. The 7 horse is dead too, but the parts cross over to some other engines I have.
Thata a fair bit of hardware for 2 hours of my time (including writing the wanted ad). Need to phone one guy up about a 'I'm not sure what it is but its good'.
Any of you guys ise freecycle?

I subscribe to it, however, I have never gotten anything from it. Seems that it is take as soon as it is posted. A friend got a new water cooler when the first and second persons didn't show up. The lady called and told him to come and get it....

I have the instant emails set up, that way I see the alert as soon as they are posted, not interested in most the stuff though. Either that or its too far to go get.

Thanks for the link Mith , I'd never heard of it. Unfortunately, there's no group close by.
But, it is a heck of an idea.

I find it alot of work just to read through the emails, and usually don't bother. I haven't exchanged anything - either given away or picked anything up. It is a great idea, though!
