EGO power battery acting up/quit (for cordless yard tools)

So, I have a EGO leaf blower that has worked great but the battery started acting up.
It would run the blower for about 15 seconds then shut off. Wait a second, squeeze the trigger again and it would run for another 15 seconds.
I bought new a new battery and the blower works fine so I know it's the battery.
DROP THE BATTERY!!! (obviously, do at your own risk or as a last resort for the battery).
This video shows it. Mine wasn't reading red, it was still green meaning good charge but I did this and sure enough, the battery is right again.

Ditto. I did get a deal during Amazon Prime days last week. Another leaf blower, weed eater, battery (only 2.5) and charger for $250. Also bought an aftermarket 5.0ah battery for cheap.
With the new batteries available, I took the risk for the drop fix. So glad it worked out.

I used that old battery again today. Instead of 15 seconds, I got 40 seconds out of it before it quit.
I dropped it again from about 18". Put it back in the blower and it ran non-stop.

Maybe a loose connection inside?

At some point, when the "drop fix" no longer works, maybe you could take it apart (with photos) and see something inside can be fixed?

I'd be wary of that battery. These things have been known to burst into flames.
