Earnhardt Jr.

WOW!!! I can't believe Dale Earnhardt Jr. is leaving DEI. I wonder if he will finally end up at Richard Childress driving the 3 car? I think this will spell the end of DEI though. Jr. was what made DEI and why the sponsers paid the big bucks. Since Budweiser has the option to leave DEI at the end of this year, you know they will follow Jr. There goes DEI's big bucks and no one else will be willing to step up to the plate. I think DEI will end up being one of the also rans now. As it is, they are already the bottom of the rung big teams.

Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Football, baseball, basketball players change teams all the time.

Dispite the announcement, there is still time for something to happen that would keep him there. The other part of this is if DEI tanks as a result of his leaving it could become so devalued that he could then purchase the rights for a fraction of what they wanted him to pay and then he gets what he wants after all.

It is a big deal, but then again you've always said you don't like NASCAR, but yet you always have something to say about it so why would I expect you to understand why it is a shocker. It was always assumed that DEI was Jr.'s company to take over whenever he wanted since his father founded the company. That is what makes this a shocker. I don't think anyone anticipated Dale Earnhardt Jr. leaving Dale Earnhardt Incorporated.

Uh, isn't Dale Earnhart's wife still living? She is next in line -- everyone should know that.

I noticed something else you didn't realize, You have a tendency to talk out of you ass. Had you read the article that you linked too you would have learned that Jr had nothing to do with the brackets. To call him a cheater based on that story alone is just plain stupid and thoughtless for a person of your supposed education, Then again, like Tony Jr maybe it's a calculated move on your part.:pee_smilie:

Dale is going to make his announcement Wednesday morning in a press conference. I am thinking Busch is out of Hendricks and Dale is in??

That is what it is sounding like. I don't think Hendrick like Kyle's attitude. No doubt, the guy has talent, but he is just like his brother and the talent isn't worth the trouble. Just like Roush said a couple of years ago.

Man, I'm going to have a hard time continuing to follow Earnhardt as I've never been a fan of Hendrick and dislike Jeff and Jimmie. Gotta give it to Hendrick though, they'll have the souvenior sales nailed. Between the 3 of them - what probably 80% of the souvenior market?

Jimmie ain't so bad, he's not the cry baby Jeff is, he's more of a true racer! Junior won't have to worry about having equipment or personnel to get the job done now either. Step mom is going to learn a lesson on what it takes to run a good race team, money and sponsors for equipment and research!
