Donk at the dragstrip

That was funny. The wheel went 10 times further than the truck. :pat: And the announcer called it right from the getgo. :D

Well, I don't know much about the classes and inspections, but I had to verify that I had C clip eliminators when I just ran my old '62 for time only; not in competition. I'm not so sure that he broke an axle rather than simply having a C clip fail. The first time I had to work on a rear end I was shocked at how little actually holds the axle in. With C clips, I would think that, if a car was jacked up and braced properly, I could lay under the car and kick the rear wheel off using both feet. With a C clip rear axle, basically there is a groove in the rear axle and a clip that looks like a "C" clips into that grove and that is it as far as keeping the axle attached to the car.
