Do you use Inner Tubes on Foam Filled Tires? DMC 1200

For a Bombardier J5, yes I did. There aren't local foam filler here. The closest tire shop (for agricultural tires) have them filled at Mississauga, about 6 hours of drive to the west. There is also people filling it about 1 hour to the east (Montreal), but I'd have to drive there and deal directly with the fillers.

I seems to me, it makes sense to have the foam in the inner tube. If/when the tires need to be replaced again in 40 years the next installer wont have to deal with foam stuck to the wheel.

Ordering new tires and will have them foam filled locally. Do you use inner tubes?
Yes i do.

But

I see quite a few faied, Filled tires. The rubber tire delaminates and the *fill* is still good the tube isnt adhered to the fill when there is a latex glove in between the wheel, fill, and tire.

And its generally not foam. At #60 psi and higher they should be injecting a foam thats denser and more like rubber.

Hmm, I thought the standard practice was without tubes and they actually poke a hole somewhere in the tire to let the foam completely fill, the hole allowing for the displaced air to escape and ensure a full-fill. But I guess a completely evacuated tube would work just fine to get completely full.
I have but one tire that is not foamed. Other than the pain of removing it, I doubt my local small town Les Schwab could fill it...or if lucky farm it out. They would probably just give me a blank stare...

They drive a hole even with a tube

I confirm there is a hole on the opposite side to allow the air to exit. In the one I had filled this summer, it is done through a screw in the tire... They left it there and I had to ask why there was a screw in my tire when I picked it up. The gentlemen at the shop confirmed it was there to let the air out of the tube an tire.

So where are you guys sending off your wheels/tires to get foamed? Been awhile since I've looked and I'm not in any dire need yet, but seems "they" wanted an arm and a leg...plus your first born if not also your left nut. Shipping costs alone will eat a person alive anymore.

Goodyear Commercial Tire is about 90 miles from me.

The rears on my Kioti are fluid filled ….. front right developed a slow leak a couple years ago and we had to air it up all the time. Neighbor works as a mining equipment mechanic and they use foam all the time. He took my fronts and had them filled. Loving it ……
