I "read" (listened to on audiobook) Atlas Shrugged a few months ago. Although it is certainly a book that is relevant and could easily be the topic for an entire semester of English literature, I personally found the book to ramble a bit and it seemed, well, a bit verbose.

I assume Michael Moore isn't directing the movie?

I have my doubts that an "idea" book like ATLAS SHRUGGED can be made into a 90 minute movie and still get across the message that was laid out in the book. JMO. But I've very skeptical this movie will be good. I'm planning to see it, but I'm worried it will be a watered down love story.

Atlas Shrugged. . . I personally found the book to ramble a bit and it seemed, well, a bit verbose.

My thoughts on Ayn Rand as an author are somewhat lower than my thoughts about her ideas. She tends to be verbose and tends to repeat her message over and over again, presumably to engrain the idea into the minds of her readers. There is little question that her message is sound, but it really doesn't require 1200 pages to make the point. Want the same message in a book that is under 100 pages? Read Ayn Rand's ANTHEM.
