Anyone here fluent in Swedish?

I have been looking into the history of my little town (Talmoon) and have read that the name comes from the Swedish colloquial expression Tal Moen. The part I am unsure of is the translation as I have came across two variations. The first one being "a clearing in the woods, especially pine woods" and another states that it means "little hill in the pine woods". I am trying to figure out which is more accurate. The thing is, this started out as a logging community and clearings were common, but also, it happens to be one of the higher altitude areas in the state and hills are common. Thanks!
