98% OF PEOPLE SAY 'OH SHIT' BEFORE
GOING IN THE DITCH ON A SLIPPERY ROAD.

THE OTHER 2% ARE FROM PITTSBURGH AND THEY SAY, "HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS."

In idaho they say can you hold both my beers !

:yum::yum::yum:

Last winter i did just that, i was driving my junky truck- 97 F150 4x4, and like an idiot lost the rear end out from under me going down hill around a corner.:unsure:
I hit the side of the embankment with the front and that put me into the air on finally on its side, facing the opposite direction.:hammer:
Tow truck came, charged me a fortune and winched me over and i drove it away.

I found out the hard way, that you gotta have good A/T tires for the conditions or studs or chains. And pickup trucks could use a little added weight on the rear to balance it out. Now i throw a bale of hay back there or 2 for weight.

Nobody, let me say it again, NOBODY uses chains in Idaho, not even the highway plow trucks. Most of the time it's cold enough to get good traction, if you are not crazy.

Nobody uses chains there ? Didnt know that. Lots of places they dont use em i guess.

Here in the sierra nevadas they call it sierra cement. Its not super dry powdery stuff usually, more like heavy and wet.

We use chains sometimes.
They are required to go over many passes, and ive had many a day when the roads were half melted and refrozen over where you had to use em to get tracton even if you had 4x with good treads.
Putting the chains on definately sucks.
