1962 Bombardier SW54 and JD 4039D Service Shop Manuals

Folks, I'm brand new to this forum business and I'm looking for shop manuals to fix up my not-so-new 1962 Bombardier SW54 that had its cab swapped out to an SW48 (not sure why, by who or when).

Also, I'm not sure what the original engine was but it's now a naturally‑aspirated 1979 John Deere 4039 D 3.9 L straight-four diesel engine. Can anyone tell me where I can find shop/service manuals for both the SW54 and the JD engine (free)?

Welcome to the forum and the crazy world of Bombardier tracked machines !

SW- 54 and SW-48 had great many parts in common. Old cab might have rusted out or got squished.

The JD sounds good !!! Originally had a Chrysler industrial 251.

There is only an owners manual. Sometimes found online or ebay. There might be a digital copy on this forum. Dig around.

The owners manual does include some maintainance procedures like bearings and trackwork.

I started a thread years ago, when we started this forum to collect manuals. If we have a digital copy of what you need, it will be in this thread. You'll have to search a bit to find it but we have tons of information here.
