little detail, the gear shift knob, originally came form the Model A Ford in 1928 and was used in the Anglia Fords through the 60's, Little Busturd's was gone when I got the kitten, so, went up stairs and grabbed one from my model A parts shelf

new exhaust, straight pipe, no muffler was never used on a kitten, bent up and installed, even was able to use the original manifold to pipe clamps, they are an exact copy of Model A exhaust pipe clamps, the rear of the exhaust pipe fit right up into the original rear mount. good day in little basturd land

just not a good way to operate the clutch, if you use the ball of the foot, when depressing the clutch, your toes pushes the choke in, and if you are able to twist your leg/foot around to depress the clutch with your heal, at least you don't push the choke in...

and good luck working the gas pedal

what a incredibly bad design ( if you can call it design ) just shy of impossible to operate, small child required

maybe it was built as a kids kitten?

I might have solved the mystery of the prefix letter on the engine serial numbers in the kittens,

first, the serial prefix and number does not matchup to the automotive numbers,

next the prefix, S does not show up in English Ford automotive numbering, and Experts confirm this info

the S prefix most likely refers to "Stationary", as engines used in saw mills, water pumps, aux generator sets, etc
very very little info has been found other than finding serval such setups and their serials also had the same prefix "S"

so little basturds serial is S61019 E and that is a most likely a 1952, maybe '51, serial number, making it the earliest known kitten serial number

Perhaps, a prototype that just didn't measure up to standards that would make it able to sell?

....... but that would just make it that much more special to own, NOW.

I'm so jealous.

oh, tucker did sell it, in 1961, weird long story of what's ???

there are photos of tucker sr driving it, thinking they were staged, as he was 6' 4" and had big feet, lot more questions than answers. the search for answers continues...

little basturd is living large in the tucker heritage collection lodge

thanks don coyote

After having attempted it first hand, it would be impossible to easily operate. The layout is terrible. With a passenger it's worse. And if you ever got into a precarious spot, heaven help you. The only way to operate it proficiently is by wearing the Cruel Shoes.
