Big win for Marco Rubio and the US State Department.

A judge ruled that the high profile Columbia graduate student who was arrested can be deported.

He has an American wife, and she is pregnant. So there has been plenty of hand wringing and gnashing of teeth over his arrest. Now that a judge has ruled he can be deported it is very likely the liberal tears will starting flowing again.

It should be noted it is alleged this guy actually organized the illegal encampments, illegal building takeover at Columbia, confrontations with American Jewish students depriving them of their civil rights, etc.

A Louisiana immigration judge ruled Friday that activist Mahmoud Khalil can be deported.
Khalil, who as a Columbia University graduate student led pro-Palestinian protests there last year, was detained last month after Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he had determined that Khalil's activism was antisemitic and that allowing him to remain in the country would undermine a U.S. foreign policy goal of combatting antisemitism around the world.
During a hearing at the remote Louisiana detention center where Khalil is being held, Judge Jamee Comans said she had no authority to question Rubio's determination.
After the ruling, Khalil told the judge, "I would like to quote what you said last time that there's nothing that's more important to this court than due process rights and fundamental fairness. Clearly what we witnessed today, neither of these principles were present today or in this whole process.
"This is exactly why the Trump administration has sent me to this court, 1,000 miles away from my family," he added. "I just hope that the urgency that you deemed fit for me are afforded to the hundreds of others who have been here without hearing for months."
Khalil will not immediately be deported. His attorneys have said that if he were ordered deported, they would appeal the judge's ruling. Comans gave Khalil until April 23 to request a stay of his deportation if his attorneys believe he qualifies for one. And the judge said if they don't meet that deadline, she will order him deported either to Syria, where he was born, or to Algeria, where he is a citizen. . .

Apparently it had nothing to do with 'free speech' like the mainstream media would have us believe.

Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Jamee Comans, who was appointed to her position in 2023 by the Biden DOJ, found that due to Khalil's involvement in violent pro-Palestinian protests in the waning days of the Biden administration, his continued presence in the United States raised "potentially serious foreign policy consequences."
. . .
According to Comans, the government had shown "clear and convincing evidence that he is removable."

After much legal wrangling, media pearl clutching, and taxpayer $$$ wasted, it appears that the Columbia graduate student Mahmoud Khalil, who supported pro-Hamas bullshit and destructive rabble-rousing on the Columbia campus, is flying away on a jet plane to live in his eternal bliss in a "freedom" loving nation . . . either Syria or Saudi Arabia. True justice for the American taxpayers will be served the moment they throw him off the airplane.

Immigration judge orders Mahmoud Khalil deported to Syria or Algeria

Lawyers for the pro-Palestinian activist said they plan to appeal the immigration judge’s order, which was revealed in court documents filed Wednesday.

An immigration judge in Louisiana has ordered pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil, a legal permanent resident of the U.S., deported to Syria or Algeria for failing to disclose certain information on his green card application, according to documents filed in federal court Wednesday by his lawyers.
Khalil’s lawyers suggested in a filing that they intend to appeal the deportation order, but expressed concern that the appeal process will likely be swift and unfavorable...

And where is this Muslim crap getting the money for all these lawyers? Which lawyers?

I'm guessing they are pro-bono liberal lawyers and/or funded by Democrats. As for who they are, that would be a matter of public record if you wanted to look them up.
