The missing 777 jet .

BigAl

Gone But Not Forgotten
Its hard to imagine that with all the reporting devices that this plane has that no trace has been found yet .
I suspect that it may be terrorist related but cannot figure out why this jet was targeted . If definately blew up fast . Why were two people on board with stolen passports ? Suicide bombers ??? How did they get through security ?
I sure feel bad for anyone involved .

It also makes me wonder "IF" it is found to be a terrorist attack how it will affect future air travel through out the world and especially the U.S.
I predict a huge down turn in air travel and expect to see airline stocks plummet .

this is the first I have heard of it, they were talking about it on the ham radio a minute ago. the flight data recorders have 4 separate beacons and no one has heard beacons going off makes one wonder if the tracking devices were shut off and the plane was flown below radar level to kidnap passengers.

I'm thinking terrorism or a massive catastrophic failure. Or terrorism that caused a massive catastrophic failure.

A plane can't vanish that fast, without a distress call, unless it was an explosion or other such problem.

I think it's been hijacked and landed somewhere. On the news I heard some speculation it possibly did a U-turn.

Even if that was true it would still be showing on Radar as it detoured to another location . If its in the air the radar will see it ,unlike the B-1 bomber that has sleath capibilities .Unless they were able to jam the radar system ??????

It was flying over 235 feet of water and they can't find any wreckage ???? Man that is a bad sign that it maybe was blown to pieces at high altitude .

My heart goes out to the victims and their familys

This is what I was thinking. Could they not be able to fly under the radar?I don't know. If there was a explosion and with the amount of planes and boats searching, one would think they would find something.Everything won't sink a lot of thing should float.Strange!

4 hours range at low level. The nut in Korea would love to have his hands on an emptied out aircraft he could fill with fuel and one bomb

Still no sign of the airliner ???? Very strange . I see where the stolen passports were used by a 19 and 29 year old Iranians , but the powers to be are saying no terrorist connection suspected . Iranians ???? Young males ??? No connection ??? = bull shit !

If it smells like shit , looks like shit and taste like shit ...... its probably shit .

Except that the 19 year old was expected to join his mother in Germany. It's a very weird situation all the way around. My whole family worked for TWA including three pilots. They've all passed now. Wonder what they would think of the situation. I think that they are looking in the wrong place for this aircraft.

Oh God! We just got a phone call from one of Toms ham radio friends tellings us that his wife was on board with their baby.

I am so sorry . May the Good lord protect them . This unknowing is tearing people up .

This is hard to believe ! Over 200 people missing and a Boeing 777 that can't be found .
You would think that after this much time something would turn up . They have a massive sea hunt, looking on land too , pinging from the plane , Satelite images and they still have no idea ???? Something like 30 nations involved in the search ? They can read a license plate from orbit but no crash site can be found ?

I am really smelling something wrong here ??? I am starting to think maybe it got shot outta the sky by a missile or its sitting somewhere for some unknown reason . Did some nation shoot it down by mistake and now is trying to cover their tracks ?

This makes no sense...

I believe it is sitting in a aircraft salvage yard some place, that's where i would hide it.

I honestly think this is a case of modern day piracy.

There has been a plethora of "experts" with plenty of opinions, theories and speculation. It's hard to believe that with all the "eyes in the sky" and ground based radar nobody saw anything. The longer this goes on , the more it stinks!!

Then where do you think the passengers are? By now you'd think that someone would be demanding ransom.

My theory is the plane and its passengers have landed safely on some deserted airstrip and the passengers are being held captive. Soon enough the world will find out what the captors want for ransom.

My fear is they load the passengers back on the plane along with some destructive device and head for a populated area. The passengers are there as a shield to keep the plane from being shot down.

Damn man don't give them any idea's!!!:whistling:

If that is the case the plane would be shot down anyhow. Better to lose the 239 than all of them plus what is on the ground. On 9-11 there were orders to shoot down that last plane that ended up in the field. The only problem was that the firghters were not armed at the moment. They decided to cash into the passenger jet. Quite an article about that a few years ago. Fortunately for them the passengers revolted and the plane went down.

Wow Leno - interesting. I never read that. Would you happen top recall where I could read that?

Thank you
Andy]

It was an article on AOL news that I read on my computer. It was an interview with one of the fighter pilots call sign Lucky. She and her commanding officer were in the air when all of this started to come down. They were not armed as I said and their orders were to take down the jet. They discussed it as they change course to intercept. He was going to hit the cockpit and she was going to take the tail. I'm sure that they were saddened and very relieved to hear that the aircraft was already down. Talk about courage. I can't imagine being in that situation. It's one thing to be in combat and another to basically commit suicide in the defense of your country. I sure hope that they got a medal for being willing to do that.

Thanks BC. That article makes a lot more sense re how they got into the air without armament.

Too bad if it's not funny to you!
