U. N. peacekeepers in northern mexico

22,000 mexican army personell are not being very successful battling the drug cartells in northern mexico and some are starting to call for blue hats to support the mexican gov. How do YOU feel about another Furrin:hammer::hammer: army dinking around by our disrespected southern border especially now considering the criminal cartel that is in control of OUR country!:w00t2:
 
I have no problem with it as long as they stay on the Mexican side of the boarder. Most of the time the UN troops are American as well as other nationalities. Now if they cross the norther boarder then it would be a different story all together.
 
You are correct the UN isn't a country but they do have peace makers, you know the ones that have the blue helmets with UN on the side. Most of them come from the US as well as other countries. The even have and Air Force and Navy too. Here is a site you can look at that will show you them in action or inaction which ever you prefer.

I'm familiar with UN Peacekeepers, but the op mentioned the "army". That's propagandous! (I think I just invented a word, LOL!)
 
Call it an Army, call it a Peacekeeper Force, call it a watermelon toter. It still performs the same function. Since this would violate the Monroe Doctrine, I wonder how Odummy will react?
 
An army is under the control of a government. The peacekeepers are made up of soldiers from many nations, and are under the control of their individual governments.
 
Oh! Iam sorry! I thought any group of people wearing uniforms, carrying weapons,riding in armoured vehicles under the command of someone in a generals uniform was an ARMY! I realise now how simplistic that assumption was and apologise! I will rephrase my original question. How do you feel about a United Nations Peacekeeping Team consisting of thousands of people of undisclosed nationality positioned on our southern border to keep peace in Mexico and do you consider it a remote possibility that they MIGHT be used to keep the peace in California!

Cross the border any where along our southern border I would see that as an act of war. This would call for a response accordingly in my opinion. I also agree with you Pete it is an army regardless or what one might call it.
 
We are members of the U.N. and if Ubama asked for help (only of coarse in a CRISIS) that help COULD be provided in a much more timely fashion IF they were already billeted in mexico 1 click from our 2000 mile unfortified border!

If they're killing drug cartel members, I'm all for it. The Mexican government is too corrupt to do anything about it.
 
Yeah they would have to kill half of the police and gov officials to defeat the drug cartels! Might even have to declare war on the CIA and DEA!
 
You haven't notice I guess Pete they already have Arizona and California it is obvious they don't want it with its financial problems. Besides Cuba owns Florida no and share it with Haitians as well as many from Central and South America. :wink:
 
You guys kill me. you act like we control drugs here in the US. I dont know the number but how many Amercians die from drug related causes each year? Lots. As soon as the Mexcian gangs move in on American gangs buisness you wont need no stinkin UN, the US gangs will probably whip their asses.
 
Mak here is something for you to think about drug deaths. More deaths in the US is from prescription and over the counter drugs than street drugs.

Here are some number that can be verified if you want to look at any statistical study.

  • Tobacco kills about 400,000
  • Alcohol kills about 80,000
  • Workplace accidents kill 60,000
  • Automobiles kill 40,000
  • Cocaine kills about 2,500
  • Heroin kills about 2,000
  • Aspirin kills about 2,000
  • Marijuana kills 0
Now if you break it down and add it prescription drugs use incorrectly or interaction with food the aspirin number goes up. Add in other over the counter drugs such as cough medicines, allergy medications, cold pills, etc and it goes even higher. Hard drugs are probably the smallest percentage of all.
 
I was really refering to violent drug deaths of all types. Most crime in US is drug related. Just say no aint working, nor is throwing a pot smoker in prision working very well either.
 
Hell, legalize drugs, tax the s**t out of them and while weat it. legalize prostitution and tax that too.
Offer the peacekeepers all the little kids they can rape if they only stay in Mexico and everybody, except the preachers and drug dealers, will be happy.
 
Just say No never did and probably the dumbest thing ever thought up. They tried it during Prohibition and you see how that worked out. It gave us organized crime the likes of which this country had never seen before and all that brings..

I hope you are being sarcastic, there Lobo. No problem with legalizing some drugs or prostitution or the taxing them, little kids I would draw the line regardless of where. As for the preachers and drug dealers about the same to me both snake oil salesman.
 
For those who don't know, several of the French officers of the Serbia/Bosnian contingents were accused of raping refugee children they were there to protect.
That was my reference.
Never would I seriously advocate the sexual abuse of any child. Me, on the other hand could be negotiated.
