Snow Cat Serenade, 2025

Official notice.

The Snow Cat Serenade is moving, this is due to the World Cup Ski races coming to Sun Valley, March, 2025, which in turns makes getting favorable rates on rooms impossible, I just can not ask a single person to pay full rack rate to stay in Sun Valley, along with many other considerations contributed to the decision to move.

so so so, you are asking where are we going? well,

North Side of Mt Hood, Oregon, and staying in Hood River, Oregon, the dates stay the same, March, 5 - 9, 2025.

We will be staying at the Columbia Gorge Hotel, Hood River, Oregon, this lovely hotel was built in 1921 and has been fully restored to its original glory and beauty, it is located right on the Columbia River with amazing views, it has total of 42 rooms with full restaurant and bar/lounge, perfect for our group with good parking. incredibly easy to get to, right off I-84 in Hood River.

Reservation info:
call 541-386-5566,
group code is: snow cat serenade, ask for Andie, she is great to work with,
and the best part is: room rate is $159.00 plus taxes
reservations are open

Breakfast and Dinner will be available from the Hotels own restaurant, full menu, also a box lunch will be available in the morning for each day trek from the restaurant for a cost of $25 person, the food is very good, I highly recommend the box lunch. as, April's Trail Cafe lunch will not be offered this year, otherwise you are welcome to prepare your own lunch/snacks.

We will continue our tradition of after dinner drinks in the Hotels lounge and they will be hosted, please come and join a wonderful evening after a great day of catting.

Snow Surfer will be out Enlighten Trek Master and truly he knows the north side of Mt Hood like the back of his hand, we will have 3 very special days, with a new trek each day. Snow Surfer is so excited to have the Serenade come to Hood River and Mt Hood

skiing is available up at Mt Hood Meadows each day, great place, and it is the largest ski area in the northwest with the most diverse terrain.

any questions? please feel free to ask,

We always strive to have new treks and adventures each year and "Enlighten Trek Master", Snow Surfer is all over this.

Reservations made!

And even The Gorilla, a procrastinator of epic proportions, has made reservations.

Yes, there may have been a little prompting from BFT (okay, more than a little), but that rarely works. Honestly, that he made them so quickly is a testament to the PP organized events he's been to.

Yes, they simply are that great!

So what is the chances that PLJ could join the snow cat serenade this coming year?

This is where it all goes down hill...
Yup, a Thiokol, a loud dog, a "whine"-ee wife, and washed up contractor....proving that snow catting can be done without any mechanical knowledge, greased rollers, orange paint, or sidekick named Scott (but open to qualified applicants !!)

See you in the Hood !!

at last years "Snow Cat Serenade" we did 3 pins, a Snow Cat Serenade, skull and grouser, and a generic red 1644 Tucker,

so, along with the "old Grouser" yearly award, going to do a yearly set of snow cat pins as part of the "Serenade" traditions.

these pins will always be done of machines that attend a Snow Cat Serenade over the years and to get these very desirable and very collectable pins, you need to come and enjoy the Serenade.

yes, it is the mid of summer and the last thing any snow catter is thinking about, is making reservations for the Mt Hood Edition of snow cat serenade, and yet, only about 6 rooms are left and or available, so quit wishing and make that reservation, otherwise you will be wishing for another very long year...

got folks from the east coast, Virginia, Mass, Penn, midwest, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, deep south, Georgia and yes, from the west, Utah, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, California, British Columbia, Idaho, really great group of folks,

thanks to all that have made reservations

Fyi, only 7 rooms left of the 42 rooms in the Columbia Gorge Hotel. Pretty much we will have the the place to ourselves.
today I got word that the Crag Rats will be hosting lunch at Cloud Cap Inn, the oldest building on Mt Hood, built in 1886, amazing place and a true honor to be invited up to cloud cap, very special...

each night at after dinner drinks we will have live music.

thank you
