Hi Pat, that's great advice. Are there different temp types? I found this, but I'm not seeing a differentiation between high/low temp types. For the OC12 we recommend (and use for our customers) regular JD Hy-Gard (NOT the low temp type) in the hydraulic/cooler versions

Hygard has two varieties regular and low viscosity. The low viscosity is specified for low temp operations especially in the hydrostatic drive tractors. from a dtac post:Hi Pat, that's great advice. I drained and re-filled right up to the fill port, but I think I’ve also read that some folks add 1 gallon above it.Oil level looks good right up at the fill port.
Of course you know were the drain plug is, just behind the ring gear in the photo, at the center of the case, in the rear, below the centerline of the chunk, (the internal planetary gears)Thanks all. I ordered some hy-gard low viscosity. I also heard good things about this: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NHF85401
Now I just need to figure out how to drain my fluid![]()
