Trackmaster imp tracks

Has anyone tried to use imp 24" tracks on their trackmaster?
I'm wondering if that's a better option than redoing all the wood

Funny, you must have seen the same things for sale as I did. I’d like to go look at a set, but I don’t think I need them unless they’re a screaming deal. I have a full set of wide tracks to build with fresh belts. I’d sure like to know the back story on how he ended up with 3 sets and what machine they came from.
Where exactly are you? I’ll keep you posted if I look at them.

I'm in Boise so guessing we both were looking at the same thing, my trackmaster tracks are 31" so I passed, but will still need to figure out how to cut the wood grousers if anyone has suggestions on type of wood or dimensions that'd be amazing

Man, the wood grousers would be easy to do. I would use white or red oak, they can be bevel ripped on a table saw, then cut to length on a chop saw. As far as materials, I would talk to Boise Millworks in Garden City, or Intermountain wood products, in Boise. IWP would sell to you directly as a cash customer. You would start with 8/4 material and rip down from there. I would allow a 2” x 2” x 32” blank for each grouser and go from there. You may be able to snag enough dunnage or drops from Boise Millworks to make enough grousers.
