As soon as the teachers were armed all of the shootings stopped. In fact the recent increase in suicide bombers in Israel was due to people in general (including teachers in schools) being armed more in public. This arming of teachers forced the terrorists to make a tactical shift in their methods and go to suicide bombers because a bunch of guys with assault rifles were no longer effective - because the teachers now fought back.
