Talk to me about plow hydraulics

I don't know squat about hydraulics. My plow goes up and down, side to side no problem. But when done playing around, if I don't first lower the plow to the ground when shutting down to take the load off I will find that it has slowly lowered itself to the ground overnight. Probably some check valve failing which I really don't care about as long as the plow stays up when under power...which it seems to be doing, but I've only run this machine for a few minutes at a time as I shake her down.

They all do that, don't worry about it.
You should put it on the ground to save your front springs. Around here, on dirt, we usually put a chunk of 2x4 under the shoes or blade to keep it from freezing in.

I've used a plow for 40 years and worked for a town plowing.
