Snow is piling up!

muleman

Gone But Not Forgotten
Made the first round of plowing and we have about 8" already. We have not yet gotten the real heavy bands they say are coming. Wind is kicking up already blowing a lot back out where I plowed as well as on the town roads. Going to be interesting by morning. I loaded the boiler and am kicking back as nothing that I plow is that important. I like to keep a lane open everywhere just in case of fire or medical.

got snow while i snoozed. there's slush & fluffy snow that is impressively tall. despite the city's plowing efforts, that snow remains. looks slippey- may be icy now. better salt the stairs.

I think [old] mule has gone to bed........might be we need to put some uppers in his feed bucket :clap:with a house full of youngens this is the only time of pease and quiet!!!!!!!!around here!!!!!

Snowing here at the rig too,:wow: got about a week left here then I hope to cruise in the snow and If there is not enough snow. Road trip.

While some folks were making sport of me, i was up and moving snow around. We ended up with about 12-14" but where it blew was a lot deeper. Wife even went along and helped shovel for some of the old folks while I plowed their drives. Not that big of a deal except where the 3-4" we got last week was run down to ice. If it was much worse I would have come back and chained the back wheels and put the weight on. Got things in pretty good shape and after we eat some lunch I will move the Suzuki and get the skid steer out to clean up around here. Looks like another smaller storm may give us a bit more on Saturday.

Almost a foot here and coming down now at a few inches per hour. Going to fire up the Queer Eskimo shortly. Wind is not blowing much so that is a plus.

Just wait till the worst passes. That is when the wind rolled in here. Blowing and swirling it around now. Even swirling some in under the wood shed. Snowmelt has most of the porch melted off and a quick push with the shovel will take care of the rest. Windchill is below 0.

We got about a foot and a half last night but very little more today. My cousin cleared my driveway this morning, for which I was grateful as my loader tractor lost a tire day before Christmas. anywhere in the wind is bitter. God ,I hate winter!! Have about the same liking for it as I do for Obummer and his ilk.

It seemed like you got more of the real heavy bands on radar. When I plowed the first round last night you could not see worth a damn it was coming down that hard.

Everything we had melted so tonight into tomorrow we get a recharge of about 2-4 inches. Then we have this to look forward to.
