New Pistenbully 100 info wanted

Kicking around the idea of getting a snowcat, maybe a new Pistenbully 100.
If I do, it would be used for adventure trips, and snow plowing.
Could even trailer it south occasionally and attend some forum snowcat get togethers.

Does anyone have a wild guess at what a new one, with blade costs?
Width?
Weight?
Heater in them good?

You can go onto Pisten Bullys USA website and view/download all the specs for a PB100. They have different configurations and are in general 8'-10' wide and are in the 15,000 lb category depending on tracks, blade, tiller, cabs, etc. The Trail Bully version would probably be the one that would best fit your needs as it doesn't have the extra hydraulics to run the tiller out the back. Passenger cabs are available. Depending on where you live will determine what dealer you work with. I would imagine the price for a basic cat is in the $200,000 range give or take and yes they have very good heaters. All the glass is heated, heated mirrors, heated wipers, heated seats and preheater for the engine.

The Pisten Bully Scout is more designed for the use you are describing. It is slightly smaller, doesn't have as many creature comforts but is still a very nice cat with a much smaller price tag. Peterson Equipment in Utah is great to work with and the main dealer is in Reno with dealers in Grand Junction and Oregon.

Thank you!

Unless you are grooming and need a tiller, I think the advice above to check out the PB Scout would be a great way to go.

Don't even know what a tiller is lol.

I would sell my snow plow if I buy a snowcat, and use it to plow snow.
And use it for adventure outings.

I have 4 pieces of equipment for moving snow. The snowcat is my favorite to operate but the least suitable for plowing something like a driveway. They aren't really designed for plowing down to dirt, and its relatively hard on the tracks, and there isn't a blade trip mechanism to protect the plow and frame from impact from rocks, stumps, etc. Occasionally I use my PB130D for plowing a paved parking area at a trailhead. My Kubota tractor with V-plow is a much better tool for that but I can't trailer both and often you just have to what you have available.

Wouldn't in be in the $140,000 or 160 USD area? With all-way blade and no tiller.
I imagine so. At one time I think you could get a new PB Scout with blade for somewhere in the neighborhood of 100k but I bet those days are past.

I don't know the exact price of a new PB100 but I heard a fully loaded PB600 winch cat is in the $500,000 range. The current PB100 is a 260hp machine that is just slightly smaller than the 200 class used to be 15-20 years ago. There is a 1999 PB100 on KSL for $65,000, they hold their value and are hard to find used.
