Hello I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Kristi web site is still active? I tried to contact them to register my serial number but no reply .Thank you
Thank you. Yes it is a 28pci carb I have been periodically spraying pb blaster in hopes of freeing the saft easier. The oil looks unused so ok for a test. Agree on fuel supply thank you. Maybe within the week I will give some time to it.Congratulations. This is a very nice example of a KT3 KRISTI. Some positives: Appears to have had a factory refurbishment, which was common for utility fleet rigs; has the wider drive sprockets which appear to be serviceable; fairly low operation hours; everything is intact and looks proper.
Very important to isolate a separate fuel supply before testing the engine (the tank integrity cannot be trusted). A small container mounted to the exhaust bracket and connected by gravity to the carb should suffice. The carb is probably a 28 or 32 pict, which are very simple to remove and do a quick cleanup. Engine oil should drain off a line connected to the sump, but if it looks clean and moisture free leave that for later. Same w/ the hydraulics, trans, and diff. With a charged battery give ‘er a crank or two. If it turns, let it sit for a bit to let the oil do it’s thing. I bet this thing will fire right up.
