Yes, that's josh. (good eye) not at the event however, this was yesterday, and the couple days previous. they were out enjoying themselves doing to some trail maintenance on the 100 miler (snow safari)

FWIW we are heading up tonight to Florence County to explore a few logging roads if you want to Grill and Chill as They say.

are you enjoying the thunder and lightning Snow shower?

You don't get that everyday!!!

Doing a little imp-ing on election day.

multiple inches of precipitation warranted a wider footprint. This came to me broken, so i put some time into it. 49.5 hours to go.time to bring snow tracs in from pasture....

Snow can't come soon enough for me. Maybe starting Saturday, we'll have to see. All the time and effort I've put into my Imp over the last year has just got me drooling for adventure. She's up at the cabin just waiting.
Liked the audio on your 2017 video. Five Man Electrical Band singing the favorite song of us long haired freaky people.

Signs signs, everywhere is signs. Signs and imps go hand in hand.

Not sure if you aware. The amount of snow is proportional to your level of preparedness.
Example.
I get my equipment ready the day before i leave, often times finishing the service while on the outing.
This = Lots of snow.

Like buying a new snowmobile. You are prepared early, during warm weather, and very thorough. Im sorry to inform you it will not snow for you.
8-)

Nah, don't be a downer raining on my parade. As you can imagine I've gone through everything on this machine without snow (though I did plow 2" last winter), even ran it up and down the street this summer in front of my house to check brake band adjustment and just to freak out the neighbors. Have on board every tool/spare part/tow strap/high lift jack known to man (some Imp specific), fire extinguisher, as well as a wilderness survival kit just in case. Tuned the timing and carb for the altitude change, etc. And beer holders...what could go wrong? Murphy says anything and everything. Fingers crossed I don't end up finishing the service out in the middle of bfn.
I hope to post some cool videos of me stranded in the months to come.

And by the way, I'll take any tips and tricks from you and any cat masters. Still a newbie until I get a season under me.
My measly normal of 30 inches pales by comparison with what you Wisconsin'ers get, don'tcha know.

Snowcats cure boredom for sure.

You are spot on, they have attitude. They behave at home and when they get in the middle of nowhere they act up for no reason.

My only advice is get complacent with slow speeds. Let out the clutch. Drive within the sensible range of the motor, get where you are going.

Throttle extremes and aggressive shifting are for the tow rig. Snowcats are for getting just a little further....

Good advice, thanks. I probably have only a couple hours of run time from a couple minor plows of my driveway and a dry run, and just idling while tuning etc. Hopefully she won't act up when put to the test. Will use primarily to create a parking spot at my cabin gate and the rest of the time playing up the unimproved/unmaintained road past my place. Don't expect to be any more than a couple miles out and not overland. Will be taking it easy, probably starting out in 2nd at the C4 differential initially. No need to break any speed records.
