How to protect polished aluminum wheels from salt

What have you used to protect polished aluminum wheels from winter conditions? I have polished M/T wheels on my F150 4X4 and I don't want to ruin them, I read once and used baby oil for indoor unheated storage and it works well, but I don't know about on the road. I really don't care what they look like in the winter, just so I can pressure wash them clean in the spring.

I clear coated a set of Ansen aluminum wheels that I had on my old Ford years ago. Worked for me very well.
