Hidden Retractable screen doors ???

Gone But Not Forgotten
Been looking at these and I think I want one for our Panama Home . Anyone currently have one that can give me a review and opinion ??

I really would just prefer to make my own but can't seem to find a source for the old style window blinds hardware . All I need is a 80" rod .
 
What do you mean when you say "old style window blinds hardware"? What old style specifically?

Remember them wooden round rods that the paper shade would wind up on automatically . When I was a kid we use to pull them down just to let them go . Mom use to tan my hide if I got caught .

I loved it when they would keep going around and flapping. Dang you had hoped mom wasn't around to hear it. But it was the sh*ts when you pulled them out far enough that the shade came off the roller or the brackets came off the wall.

Al, it looks like this site has all of the clutches and tubes you need. They have an 84" tube in several different diameters. I assume it can just be cut to length.

My parents have one of the doors where the screen goes in the door when the window is up. When you pull the window down the screen comes down with it. They love the new door and was suprised at how well it was insulated too. No more having to store the screen in the winter (probably wouldn't have that problem in Panama) and the window in the summer. I also like the fact that it will stop anywhere in between. If you only want a couple inches of screen or all screen. I'm looking to get one. The only down side is that the area of the screen is smaller on these type of doors.
