Ford lightning winter performance Billings Mt trip

I spent the last 10 minutes looking for the thread where I believe it was m1 West asked for a real world winter test. This morning when I left the garage it was 18° f. We had four to five inches of fresh snow, that lasted for about the first 20 mi of the trip. Then roads were clear and dry. Arrived in Billings Montana 166 miles away. I used the courtesy charger at the Cadillac GMC dealer while we ate lunch. I charged to 100%. Just so I could get an accurate representation of what the trip used. The truck used 79 KWH. Granted I do park the truck in a 45° F heated garage. Heading north, I always use less energy on this trip. As it is downhill. I will update Monday morning to let you know how much energy the truck used on the way home. The truck will have set outside overnight.

The weather was a little warmer overnight. Low was 20°f was about mid 30°f when we drove home. This trip included the driving around town shopping. Total miles home were 182. It took 91 KWH to charge to 100%. We arrived home with 30% battery left. Very uneventful trip. Total trip was 348 miles, 170kwh 2.04 miles per kWh. Truck was predictable as always. If we get a cold snap and we happen to go somewhere. I will try to do this again. It makes some difference but not that much. The heat sucks a little more electricity.

How many KW is the total capacity of the battery? What is the advertised range?

131 KWH usable. 320, mi EPA rated. 55% city 45% highway. Is how they calculate it. My wife who drives the speed limit all the time will get right around 1.8 to 2.0 miles per kilowatt. (She drove this trip) I on the other hand will get more but I don't drive as fast as she does. My vision is very bad. So I tend to top out 10-15 mph under speed limit. I can exceed the EPA rating. Where she is under. But we have very little city driving. Mostly highway. Speed definitely kills range

Edit to add Wyoming secondary highways are 70 mph. Interstate is 80 mile per hour
