Quick trip to the maple bush this am to take care of some Widow makers. One big basswood and 3 maples taken down and skidded into the field , the snow is like glue , packs well , but the rain is coming.

That's it , last of the loads for a buddy , roughly 30 bush cord , we'll see when it splits out. Wood season 2024 is officially over ......... just have to split it later on . Time to get ready for tapping , projected temps of 61 F for Mon ...... maple syrup season could over before it starts.
Thirty bush cord is quite a haul. You seem to be ahead of the game because you're already discussing syrup season while I'm still thinking about snow shovels.

Snow shovels in Sarasota, FL? Heh heh...perhaps your profile needs updating.
Out here in Washington state, I'm just patiently waiting for the white stuff to fall from the sky. I'll report back on the first 1/4" with videos of me doing an old man snow dance
