Just paid off the house, But with $8000.00 in taxes and $4200.00 in insurance. its still $1000.00 a month. About 2 years from now my SS will kick in and thats when I plan to retire. Im still paying my Union benefits package as I'm still working when I need to. $5400.00 a month covers my healthcare, retirement contribution, vacation pay and some monies for apprenticeship training etc. That will also stop on retirement when I get medicare.
