I enjoyed David Graf's performances in Police Academy. Of all of the characters, I liked him the best. His charisma and work ethic were very admirable. He was one of the pillars that held the films together. Some of the best moments in the series were created by him.
Then, I find out that he did it strictly for the money. If it would help further the discussion, I can provide the link to Internet Movie Database Police Academy 2 trivia and you can see for yourselves.
Right now, though, I am too hurt by these words to look at them again. Did he just only the series as a spoon to feed his family? Were the Police Academy films just a means to an end, his co-workers stepping stones? Please, someone tell me this is a big misunderstanding. Please tell me this man was not a mercenary, that he didn't mean to regard his work as a way to only fuel his life and the people gas station attendants. Please tell me this was something expressed in the heat of the moment and that he actually had an interest in playing the role of Eugene Tackleberry.
