Coke from Sad Question Thread

thcri

Gone But Not Forgotten
Bc asked about Coke destroying metal, what does it do to your stomach. I drink a lot of Pepsi and some Coke. Between the 2 pretty darn heavy. Coke destroyed Dave Nay's gun and it does make one wonder what it does to your stomach. I was told a while back by a doctor to never drink a dark cola but a clear one like 7up instead. But I hate clear.

Another interesting thing about Coke, many years ago in Chicago our water pump went out on our car. We had it at a service station and since the weather was snowy/rainy we asked to have our windshield wipers replaced. The old guy said there is nothing wrong with your windshield wipers,, we said huh. He went over and bought a can of coke from the pop machine and then dumped it all over the windshield as the wipers ran. The windshield wipers never worked as good as they did after he dumped the coke all over them.

So this is BC's thread but how many here are dedicated cola drinkers??? Is this a replacement for coffee as in my case??

I drank a lot of Pepsi/Coke as a kid, not quite as much during college, and now I am down to two per day. I have one at lunch and one at supper. I buy whichever twelve pack is cheaper.
I have never tasted coffee and don't plan to. One bad habit is bad enough.

The only thing bad in Coke is the sugar. Your body creates acid in your stomach. Coke is acidic. So what?
Don't you think if something else in coke was so bad, that the Democrats would be grabbing for attantion by demanding for the stuff to be banned?
But I could be wrong.

The trick with the coke on the windshield is simply disolving the minerals left on the windshield from the evaporated water.

I'd say I have 1 Coke a month.

I've heard all kinds of things about Coke. Some good, some I'd say are bad.

I don't know if these are true but here's some that I've heard.
If you put a steak in a bowl of Coke, it'll be gone in a couple days. If you put a nail in, it'll be gone in a week.

It'll cut through grease and can be used for cleaning clothes and engines. It also can be used for blood stains.

The trucks that carry the concentrated syrup used to make Coke must have the "Highly Corrosive" placard on their tank.

I know diet Coke and Pepsi are bad for your teeth. I had perfect teeth into my 20's. In my late twenties I started drinking lots of diet Coke and Pepsi and I got a rash of cavities. As soon as I stopped drinking it and went to just coffee, I haven't had a cavity since.

The dentist said coffee is OK and soda is bad.

My name is Hutch, and I'm a Coke addict! I drink Diet Coke by the 44 oz. cup, and lots of 'em. I don't drink it for any weight loss attempt, it's just that regular Coke is too syrupy tasting for me.
The problem I have is severe cramps. I've heard for years that cola could cause dehydration. I've always written it off as nonsense put out by the bottled water companies, but now I'm starting to wonder. Any cola is almost all water, right? So, I should be getting my daily intake of water through the Coke. I have severe cramps-mostly in my legs, but also in my abdominal and back muscles. The doc gave me muscle relaxers to take when I have cramps, but I don't like taking them because I feel like crap the next day. As much as I hate to, I think I'm going to back off on the Cokes and drink more water. Yuk, hate the stuff! Except when I'm working hard and am hot. Then, all I want is water.Hutch
