Big Maxx Mr. Heater replacement

I am replacing a Mr. Heater, Big Maxx 50,0000 BTU with a like model.
The only difference in the newer model has a 4 inch vent instead of a 3 inch vent.
Can a 3 to 4 inch reducer be used to make the connection with out affecting the efficiency of the new unit?
