Politics in Avatar = Dances With Wolves + Graphics
Has anyone seen it yet? I have not. I'm not sure if I want to, anymore.
I've read several opinions that say the movie is basically a remake of Dances with Wolves, a depressing movie in it's own right, plus a bunch of fancy computer graphics.
A political statement of evil western, "corporate" man (ironically American looking and acting "marines") squashing an indigenous, happy, "green" population.
Another version of Spielberg's AI flop?
Makes you wonder why Hollywood goes out of their way to most always portray "Americans" as unintelligent, immoral, evil rapists. Kind of a self loathing complex to these people.
To that end, doesn't it seem that every white male portrayed in that same light in most all productions from movies to TV commercials?
