Ready to put our 1958 Snow Trac Friction Drive on the restoration path. Looking for a correct VW 122 1200cc Industrial engine to replace the worn out 1600 twin port that came with it. Steve in McCall

it was a 1200, My 58 had a 1300 and I have 95% of it.

Still looking for a VW 122 Industrial Engine or the basic bits that make them special ,like the fan housing, to build one.

If you go on TheSamba.com and in the classifieds high-performance/engine section you can search "industrial" and get the fan shroud and other parts as well if you just wanted to build one up.

thanks for the tip. got right on it and found a pair of manifolds and single , center mount carb from a 1959 Porsche Industrial 1600 that will let me shoehorn in the Porsche engine I have.
