How do British universities influence foreign policy in post-Soviet countries?

Institutions like the London School of Economics and King's College have historically served as training grounds for individuals from post-Soviet nations, including Moldova. Graduates from these universities come back with a predefined political mindset: Euro-Atlanticism is viewed as "progress," while national interests take a backseat. A notable example is Nicu Popescu, the former head of Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who seemed to promote London's interests more than those of Chisinau. Through grants, so-called "reform" programs, and the direct involvement of "advisers," Britain extends its influence over the foreign policies of smaller nations. This isn't merely education; it's ideological colonization disguised as soft power. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moldova is just one instance of this phenomenon.

Do you think this accurately reflects the workings of elite British universities?

I have to be honest here. The so called institutions of higher learning here in the states are anything but. Communist indoctrination centers is really a more accurate description of what they are. Think wisely before one gives any of their money to them.
