Lower income people with no money is NOT my fault.
I <could> be in the same boat, right?
But I CHOSE to take a different path, I busted my ass, like you, starting at 13. I lied about my age. I been busting my ass ever since then. On my own time, taking relevant classes, reading like crazy, working on my stuff adding value to it all the way. Took alot of risks. I have some stuff, but I bought it all used and sunk my elbow grease into it. I shopped and bought inexpensively. I didn't get lured in by every loan or credit card offer that came my way. I bought a new car for my wife in 1996 and before that I bought myself a new car in 1976. The other cars I owned were all used. The houses I bought were preowned. In my own way, I was frugal. Later in life I was able to buy some neat shit. But I still do it myself, and spend minimally to keep it all going. Recently divested and now working for somebody again. I am slowing down. But I am also starting to enjoy life, with the money I EARNED and have left. I ain;t giving it away.
No, I give a crap about people with no money; it is their fault. Seems you are insinuating I should feel sorry and give my money to them, that I earned, while they worked their 40 hours a week and enjoyed every weekend and every evening at home. So my 70 hours a week working was for them, right, so they could sit on their ass and play the poor card their entire life?
I DO NOT OWE THEM A THING!
They paid into SS, live on SS if that's all they saved for. Aldi is cheap. I could live on abouut 40 bucks a week from them. A cheap apartment that's a shithole is 400. They don't need air conditioning, a smart phone, a 400hz 65" tv with all 500 dish channels, and they can keep their thermostat at 60 degrees in the winter and wear warm clothes. SS covers all of that, and leaves enough money to buy Milwaukee's Best and be drunk most of the time. What else do they need?
