This is my contention:
No one can prove or disprove a negative:
I will put up some examples (leaving off against the against the odds outcomes).
This is something that is often the speculation of science fiction.
Yes it might make for a great story but my contention is it can neither be proven nor dis proven.
1) What if Germany could have developed the A-Bomb long before the Americans?
Many stories have the Germans (and Japanese) winning the war and taking over the world. The USA would be a NAZI dictatorship, there would be Concentration Camps . . . ( I think you get the idea).
But is this really what would have happened?
I will leave out the more against the odds outcomes like Hitler crosses the street to celebrate and gets hit by a truck -KABOOM -lights out.
If, and this is not ridiculous speculation, they only had a couple bombs, like the USA had in 1945. Perhaps even with an A-Bomb it would have taken sometime for Germany to mass the troops and invade the USA. They still would need to finish off Great Britain.
In this time the USA might rush some kind of bomb, bacteriological warfare or something else.
Or perhaps they invade the USA and are so ground down by guerilla warfare that they eventually lose.
2) When Hitler was young he wanted to be a successful artist. What if Hitler had become a successful artist.
Would Stalin have invaded Europe?
Would he have won?
I can think of hundreds of scenarios.
My contentions is since some happened or didn't happen how can anyone prove the opposite?
Now Obama says he would have beaten Trump. https://www.yahoo.com/news/obama-says-beaten-trump-hed-202800318.html
True? Or just more egotistical ranting of the President?
