Your 2025 Tax Return. Are you seeing the extra $$$$$$?

The Old Salt
Finished mine today and electronically filed using Turbo Tax. We saw the promised refund increase over previous years. As usual Donald is 100% right.

No need to post amounts or particulars of course, but curious if others are getting the promised increases.

My employees were not happy about the overtime promise or what they thought was a promise. Unfortunately they chose to believe the hype and not the reality.. have not personally done my taxes yet. But with full-time income, and a bunch of small businesses. I usually feel I get the shaft. LOL

I can tell you the big thing is the added 12 grand onto the standard deduction for those filing jointly over the age of 65. I was surprised to find out that there is still a tax on Social Security. That was one of Donald's signature proposals along with no tax on tips. I blame the worthless Republicans for making sure this did not make it for 2025. Why?

First time in years I have used Turbo Tax. Gotta say it is a slick bit of software and really streamlined doing the state taxes which can be very cumbersome doing them with the pen and paper.

Yep no tax on SS really means the first $6000 for single and $12000 for married, we got manipulated as well as the no tax on OT and tips group. Withholding information is just another way of telling a lie.
