318 v8 5 speed. Machine runs and drives. Had a new cam, lifters, timing set and water pump last year. Converted to points distributor. All hydraulic hoses replaced except for the hoses to remotes. Rear cab was present when I purchased it. Windshield and rear side windows were replaced with new gaskets. Drivers window was rebuilt. Belts are ok, could use a patch or two. Most of the grousers have had plate added to them.

Could use some tlc in a few areas such as exhaust manifolds, left front carrier appears to have wear at the axle, some idlers should probably have bearings/seals. Axles have been trussed, one appears to have had the tube repaired.

A lot of the paint was flaking off when I purchased the machine. I sanded and spray painted it, nothing professional but I wanted to prevent it from rusting being on the east coast.

$20,000
Machine is in Christiana PA 17509

Cash card or check for the balance😁
I’ll take a check for the balance, I’m old-school like that! 😂😂😂

On a serious note, just drink beer and look at that thing in your driveway for another five months and then re-list to get all of your beer money back as well as full asking price. Over the past 14 years being tied into this, there is one certainty. People are not looking to buy a snow cat in the summer months. Well, at least those not located in Wisconsin or Oregon. 😂😂😂

It’s one of those for sale not on sale posts. Not going to drop the price in a month or two. Just wanted to get it out there. I’ll keep it and run it again next year if no one takes it.

I never heard of converting to points, are you sure that it was not converted from points?

Why go backwards? or did you restore this to original condition for some reason? Points aren't used anymore for a reason which is reliability
I carry a points distributor in every cat i own. When is 20 below zero and pitch black. I can self rescue.
I feel the magic smoke left for a reason so a spare electronic box will suffer the same fate. Swapping to and from points is easy.

I had spent a bunch of time working to straighten out the electronic ignition when I got it. That proved to be futile. So in the ease of getting it operation and where the machine is operated I like the simplicity of the points system.

As long as it works, but I still hate points

You fix distributors in the pitch black of night in 20 below zero temps.

LOL if I had cats I would equip them with paws, with points too

This kitty is still under my care but looking for a new home. Willing to deliver to in northeast at low or no cost.
