We've had an increased minimum wage up here for a year now I believe. Since then the cost of pretty much everything has gone up to compensate meanwhile wages for the rest of the working world has remained the same.

$15 an hour in Washington DC is the equivalent to roughly $30 in New Mexico and $25 in other states. Federal government should not mandate minimum wages. States can do so if they wish.

The main reason politicians push for it is more tax revenue for them to piss away!!

Government needs to stay out of wage control. Put aside for a moment that the government does nothing correctly, the market will decide. The market can better decide on its own.
